Women’s Tailored Dress Shirts ⭑ Created in Houston
In ready-to-wear, women’s dress shirts often force a choice between style and fit. A shirt that flatters the bust may pull at the hips; one that fits the waist might gape at the buttons. Fabrics are usually selected for mass appeal, not longevity, and the number of styles available in women’s woven shirts is very limited.
At B. Kreps, Houston’s top bespoke tailor, we bring the same precision and care to women’s shirts that we’re known for in our suits. Each shirt is cut from scratch for one person only.
Your choice of fabric and detail
Bespoke shirting opens the door to almost unlimited options. You can choose from lightweight poplins, breathable linens, smooth twills, or lustrous cotton sateens—each available in solids, stripes, checks, or subtle patterns. Collar shapes range from sharp points to soft spreads, cuffs can be single or double, button or link, and plackets can be plain, hidden, or contrast. Monogram placement, contrast stitching, and button colour are the finishing touches for you to decide.
The B. Kreps bespoke process
We begin with a try-on garment—not a tape measure—so we can make real-time adjustments to shoulder width, torso shaping, sleeve length, cuff placement, and collar fit. After your try-on fitting, your personal shirt pattern is drafted, and your garment is cut and sewn at our atelier in Amsterdam. It returns to Houston for a final fitting, where we confirm the perfect drape and make any refinements. The process takes 5 to 6 weeks from start to finish, and your pattern is stored for future shirts.
The result is a shirt that follows your lines perfectly, without pulling, gaping, or excess fabric.

While it is possible to conduct fittings outside of the store, we strongly encourage our clients to visit our store for the first fitting at least. It allows us to show you the full selection of fabrics and customization options available to you, in addition to learning your lifestyle and sartorial preferences.
We believe the in-store experience is one of the joys of bespoke clothing and our customer testimonials prove that point emphatically. The truth is, it is hard to reproduce that experience in a time-pressured office environment. Once we have fine-tuned your fit, we can bring fabrics and styling accessories to your office. But then you miss out on spending time with Magic the Dawg!
