Pinstripe Dress Pants ⭑ Created in Houston
Pinstripe dress pants bring a touch of classic business tailoring to your wardrobe. The crisp, narrow vertical lines lengthen the leg and project a professional, composed image. They can be worn as part of a matching suit or as separates with a coordinating blazer or sports coat. Because pinstripes are such a precise visual element, accuracy in cutting and seam matching are essential.
At B. Kreps, Houston’s top bespoke tailor, your trousers begin with a try-on garment — not a tape measure — so we can evaluate the fit directly on your body. This allows us to refine waist position, seat shape, thigh and leg width, and hem length, then cut the cloth so the pinstripes run perfectly straight from waistband to hem.
You have total creative freedom.
Bespoke tailoring gives you far greater scope to design trousers that work exactly as you want them to. We guide you through every feature, with the ability to combine them in ways ready-to-wear simply can’t offer:
Waistband – curtained for comfort, extended tab closure for a sleek front, or classic straight waistband.
Fastening – concealed hook-and-bar, button closure, or side-tab adjusters for a belt-free finish.
Pleats or flat front – single or double forward pleats for more room, or a clean flat front for a sharper line.
Hem style – plain hem for a smooth fall, or cuffs for weight and drape.
Pocket styles – slanted side pockets, jetted rear pockets, or button-through closures.
Support options – brace buttons or interior waistband grip for suspenders, belt loops if preferred.
Lining – partial or full front lining for comfort and ease of movement.
Fly construction – classic zip fly or button fly.
These elements can be combined to suit both your style and your working needs. You might choose a flat front with side-tab adjusters and plain hems for a contemporary business look, or pleats with cuffs for a more traditional approach.
Your fabric and stripe options
For Houston’s climate, we recommend lightweight worsteds, tropical wools, or high-twist fabrics that breathe and hold a crease. Pinstripe spacing can be fine and discreet or slightly bolder, depending on the presence you want the trousers to have.
The B. Kreps Bespoke Process
Once your personal pattern has been created from the adjustments made during the try-on fitting, your trousers are cut and sewn from scratch at our atelier in Amsterdam. They return to Houston for a second fitting, where we refine the fit and make any final tweaks. The process takes between 5 and 6 weeks from start to finish, and your updated pattern is kept for future commissions.
Let us create pinstripe dress pants that fit precisely — built around your posture, proportions, professional life, and personality.

From the first fitting to the final tweaks of the finished garment, the entire process takes between 5-6 weeks.

While it is possible to conduct fittings outside of the store, we strongly encourage our clients to visit our store for the first fitting at least. It allows us to show you the full selection of fabrics and customization options available to you, in addition to learning your lifestyle and sartorial preferences.
We believe the in-store experience is one of the joys of bespoke clothing and our customer testimonials prove that point emphatically. The truth is, it is hard to reproduce that experience in a time-pressured office environment. Once we have fine-tuned your fit, we can bring fabrics and styling accessories to your office. But then you miss out on spending time with Magic the Dawg!
