Custom Tuxedo Shirts ★ Created in Houston
At B. Kreps, Houston’s top bespoke tailor, a tuxedo shirt is never treated as an afterthought. It is the foundation of formal elegance—the garment that determines how a tuxedo reads in the room. A custom tuxedo shirt frames the bow tie, sets the stage for the jacket, and ensures your black-tie attire feels as comfortable as it looks distinguished.
Your choices of fabric and style
We offer a curated range of cloth sourced from Europe, including crisp cotton poplin, breathable voile, and subtly lustrous piqué weaves ideal for formalwear. Front styles range from clean pleated panels to smooth bib-fronts, designed to complement your choice of studs or buttons. You may select a wing collar for a traditional look, or a spread collar for modern black tie. French cuffs accommodate cufflinks, while hidden plackets maintain a sleek, uninterrupted finish.
Unbeatable fit
Unlike off-the-rack options, our tuxedo shirts are built around your frame and posture. At your fitting, we use a try-on garment to assess the drape and balance directly on your body, capturing up to twenty measurements, in order to create your unique pattern. This allows us to fine-tune elements such as sleeve pitch, collar stance, or shoulder slope. Everything is recorded into your personal pattern, ensuring the tuxedo shirt fits flawlessly and providing continuity across future commissions.
B. Kreps’ bespoke process
Once your fit is confirmed, your shirt is cut and sewn by our atelier in Amsterdam, where decades of tailoring craft are applied to every seam, buttonhole, and collar. Details such as mother-of-pearl buttons, removable stud fronts, and monogramming allow you to personalize your garment. Because every adjustment is archived into your drafted pattern, your next commission benefits from the same precision—ensuring consistency and ease whenever you return to B. Kreps.

While it is possible to conduct fittings outside of the store, we strongly encourage our clients to visit our store for the first fitting at least. It allows us to show you the full selection of fabrics and customization options available to you, in addition to learning your lifestyle and sartorial preferences.
We believe the in-store experience is one of the joys of bespoke clothing and our customer testimonials prove that point emphatically. The truth is, it is hard to reproduce that experience in a time-pressured office environment. Once we have fine-tuned your fit, we can bring fabrics and styling accessories to your office. But then you miss out on spending time with Magic the Dawg!
