How Much Does a Bespoke Suit Cost?

This is often the first question clients ask, and understandably so. Bespoke tailoring is an investment, but to evaluate whether it is worth it, you need to understand not just the price, but what that price actually represents.

At B. Kreps, a bespoke suit made through our signature process begins at $1,295.

The single most important variable affecting price is fabric selection.

Fabric determines much of the final cost because it affects performance, longevity, and feel. Entry-level Italian wools offer excellent value and durability for everyday wear, while higher-end English and Italian cloths may provide greater breathability, softer hand feel, or more refined drape. Some fabrics are engineered for travel, others for heat, and others for formal or seasonal use. As fabric quality and rarity increase, so does cost.

The same fully bespoke approach applies to every suit we make.

Regardless of the fabric chosen, every bespoke suit at B. Kreps follows the same full-service process. Clients are placed into a try-on garment that functions like a tailor’s toile. This reveals posture, balance, shoulder slope, and movement in ways a tape measure cannot. Adjustments are pinned and refined in real time, allowing the suit to be shaped on the body rather than forcing the body to conform to a preset pattern. Based on the thirty or so fit points captured during this first fitting, a unique pattern is drafted specifically for you.

The suit is then cut from the bolt of cloth in our atelier in Amsterdam, not altered from a pre-existing template. Once the suit is made, it returns to Houston for a fitting, where any final refinements are handled in Houston. All adjustments are logged, creating continuity for future garments. Delivery typically takes five to six weeks.

Is a bespoke suit worth it?

For clients who value comfort, longevity, and confidence, the answer is yes. You are paying for fit that accounts for posture and movement, for construction that improves with wear, and for a process that produces consistency over time. In a market crowded with made-to-measure and semi-custom offerings, B. Kreps remains Houston’s only true full-service bespoke tailor. The best way to understand the value is to come in for a fitting and experience the process firsthand.
